Run 1036 Report

Lakeside Hash House Harriers The drinking club with a running problem

Run 1036, 28 April 2004 Hare: Bovine Breeder Venue: Pacific Rim Thai Restaurant, 68 Bridport Street, Albert Park

What can you say about a run that was described as ‘traumatic’?

Those who completed some or all of the trail couldn’t describe it as they had ‘blocked out’ the memory and rated it 4/22.

One of the few to remember (and to run it all!!!) was Mummies Boy who described it as a whole lot of short runs put together.

Bovine sent the pack off with a set of instructions that included being allowed to swim, should we get to the beach, and to please not run on the forecourt of the Shrine.

And from what I can work out the run just about covered this distance.

And of course the yummy food was as usual grabbed by the hungry mob of seagulls.

Special runs were given to Rolf Harris for 50 runs, Kokup for 40 runs and Prince for 80 runs.

Charges included:

ALICE’S FIRST RUN!!!!!!

Punch for working out which trail was on not by the usual arrow method, but by which way it smelt less bad.

Those who came dressed for the Footy Run – Sooty, SBD, Bovine Breeder, Mummies Boy and Irregular.

Sooty for visiting the Ageing Clinic prior to the run.

Pregnant Pause for spending a lot of time in blind alleys, and for her forthcoming birthday.

Bovine Breeder for not providing Guinness for Non-entity

Janus for new shoes.

And for those with nothing better to do on Sunday you could choose between running the Full Moon in Bunyip, or the Puffing Billy Race in Belgrave. (Sensible people would have chosen the Full Moon – it started later.)
