Run 1139, 11 Mar 2006 Hare: CGH3 Venue: The Oxford Scholar Hotel, Swanston street

What a sunny day to run and publicly advertise hash in the fully crowded Melbourne. 100 hashers fro all 8 different hash clubs in Melbourne gathered with visitors to socialize, run, eat, drink, dance and last but not least celebrating Commonwealth Games. The hairs decided to set three different set of runs, short, medium and long runs. Medium run was confusing and nobody managed to run it. The long run started in Swanston Street, went up to Carlton Gardens to visit Exhibition Building which will host the majesty in few days. We then passed St. Patricks Cathedral, Hyatt Hotel toward the Fitzroy Gardens. We visited MCG, Giant fishes in the Yarra, Southbank and Crown Casino We ran through Docklands before getting into the drink stop in the Flagstaff Park. The run took 1.5 hours and was well set in all attractions city can offer. Additionally we caught up with many weddings in the city.

D&E ran the circle and iced everybody they could to cool down the runners bottoms. The circle started with charging the three hairs. Foggy was accused of winging during the run before the commonwealth games committee got down downs. Barterbitch and Melbourne ladies’ Gm iced their tits instead before visiting GMs icing their bottoms. As soon as the sponsors were called, three Chinese looking girls arrived the pub and were iced before Malcolm, the pub owner and our host. Happy wasn’t sure where was the pub and Julie root (?) got drank in the pub crawl but still managed to run on Saturday. Shingles and Barber Moth (?) were spotted taking the girls photos sun bathing in Flagstaff Park Our visitor from New South Wales showed the his true hash colour by helping an elderly man crossing the road while thirsty got herself almost killed crossing the road. Salmonella from Fiji was one of many visitors and Sadzee from London was praised for keeping his horn with his bag. Two runners from Perth Hash asked for support for Perth 2008 Inter Hash before all visitors got down downs. The runners got well delicious dinner and dessert. The night never ended with all runners dancing with the band. It was a night to remember celebrating the Commonwealth Games.
