Run 1176, 8 November 2006 Hare: Cheesecake Venue: BBQ Packer Park, Leila St Carnegie

A bit far from our catchments area, but Carnegie had plenty to offer. A cozy BBQ away from cold and with plenty of light which Cheesecake couldn’t turn it on, plenty of bike riders training for track cycling and enthusiastic residents excited with the strange hats our Lakesides were wearing. I was late for the run and missed the long bit between home and drinks stop but used the time to discuss the property that GG‘s daughter put for.

As myself and GG approached the drink stop, we found Mothball seating on the bench after shortcutting most of the run. Cheesecake meanwhile was wearing her Cheesecake shop hat which caught the eye of every passing walker.

Gradually all runners showed up complaining from the long run and warming up themselves with Lemonade and Port. We then sprinted to home finding Mad Dog and Tangles preparing the delicious chicken and sausages. Tangles in his short hat looked more like an Irish junky than a chef accompanied by Sooty in similar hat and Sheik Mad Dog were added lots of taste to the dinner. During dinner, Cheesecake took photos of all Lakesiders wearing hat including E&B in her colorful hat and Mothball in long hair custom.

After the dinner we gather under the roof, turned on the BBQ in cold Wednesday night and listened to Tickler, just retuned from Kazakhstan, who explained that the run was easy to follow but long except the check in the park. He gave it 42 from 46 due to good food and cake afterward.

Cooch, E&B, Whippet, Lizard, Tickler, Sharkey and Astro were Lakeside returnees while GG (692), Prince (192) and Shah (102) had significant runs. Northern Ireland naughty boy, Tangles, Mothball with his long prick hair, Cheesecake and E&B got down downs for their ridiculous hats. We were told that when the pack lost his way in the park, Tigermoth didn’t reveal that she has a map as Lakeside didn’t pay her consultancies fees. Also Tangles failed to read maps correctly to take Sooty to Geelong’s GM.

Klingon then presented award winning T-shirts to Astro for his 200th run and himself for Klingon’s 400th run in form of a double T-shirt. Tickler revealed that he hates Cheesecake and Cheesecake witnessed GG leaking in the bush. Meanwhile, Klingon and E&B were charged for Klingon‘s marketing strategy to sell 10 T-shirts last week and E&B leaving T-shirts behind instead of taking them to Interhash. Finally Tangles pointed to E&B of the way she dressed up with fancy dress and fancy hat. There were number of competitors in the hat race but Cheesecake, Tangles and Tigermoth beat others to win the top prizes.
