Run 1197, 14 March 2007 Hare: Happy – D&E AGM Venue: Kew RSL corner Charles St and Cotham Rd Kew

Global warming and green house gases! World is changing and so is D&E! I remember my first run with Lakeside was a joint run with D&E. Quick well set run with lots of fit male runners. D&E run on Wednesday was different. It was a male dominant run but instead of fit runners we had plenty of slow D&Es whom none did make the drink stop. Run started with around 60 in the pack but there were around 15 at drink stop, which majority were Lakesiders. Well done to Plunger, Codpiece, Pointy, Klingon and Shah who set the pace and completed the run. Upon arrival to the venue, Shah found himself surrounded by Prince, Tangles and Sooty who were not happy with the Shah’s previous reports. Tangles was denying his mateship with Sooty and Prince was truly right about fucking during the circle. Shah couldn’t think of them reading his reports. Hence, he tipped Sooty’s drink in defense. Accidentally off course.

While we were waiting for D&E’s committee to show up and get us registered, Happy welcomed everybody and talked about his plans for the night. The run didn’t start till 7:30 and took us in some of the beautiful real estates of Kew before sending us into the Yarra where Cheesecake lost her control in a 15 degrees slope in Yarra bank. Shah and Plunger meanwhile were chatting all the way not noticing that everybody is gradually dropping off. We ultimately reached to the newly advertised residential development at Yarra Bend Park where we found the hare looking for Happy and drink stop. We followed the run and found Happy with two cheeks from Peninsulas Ladies. It appeared that there has been a change of plan and Happy decided to take the drink stop closer to home. Remaining Lakesiders got together and walked home leading by Codpiece.

At Kew RSL we had a well organized and well served dinner which finished around 9:45 PM. Shah was tired and couldn’t wait for the late circle to start. For more details and news of what happened next refer to http://www.insports.com.au/deh3/default.asp .
