With the temperate gauge reading 38 degrees Celsius at 6.30pm it as amazing that anybody turned up to this run. Unbelievably, there were 25 hashers in the pack whose main motivation I believe was to sample the Xmas fare. I was also surprised that nobody took advantage of the Basterfield Park Lake and took a quick dip to cool down. The run was excellent (of course) and took the runners through the many green spaces in Moorabbin Hampton East and Hampton. This was one of the few of my runs that did not go down to the beach and this was due to the fact I took pity on the potential runners and cut the run short by about three kilometres. As for the food, no score was given. Being a hot day, it was a buffet meal complete with Xmas cake and Xmas crackers.
