The Run
For the second consecutive week only a dozen hardened hashers left the comfort of their couches and Foxtel to join in the winter hash spirit. The regulars were still enjoying the warm delights of interhash in Borneo and others probably gave up due to the high cost of parking in St Kilda.
We were advised by the hare that the run would cover most of the sights of St Kilda, but he failed to mention that Prahran and South Yarra were also suburbs of St Kilda. It was evident early that the run was set by a multitude of little helpers who had varying artistic chalking skills. However, the small pack was able to interpret the signs (as opposed to Mummies Boy’s cryptic run from the previous week) and all had a swell time meandering through various parks, shopping delights in Chapel St and the Lakeside headquarters on the lake.
Fetchit, a visitor from Larrikins in Sydney was invited to provide the run report and amazed us all with his recollection of the trail and the street names……not bad for a Sydney boy, but believed to be a former Melbourne Mexican. He scored the run 1689/1385 which leaves Klingon 304 in credit for future runs.
Special Runs and Charges Fetchit – visitor from Larrikins Icy – returnee Astro – 300 Mummies Boy – 331 Prince – 363 Klingon – rebound charge for breach of RA principles by disclosing a discussion in confidence that Astro’s name is his nickname and that his real hash name is Silver Backed Assprobe.
Big Bang – spending $100b on a cosmic study of the Milky Way when she would have been more thrifty spending it on a $29/month Vodaphone Plan.
Naming After many months of deliberation, Klingon, in his ecclesiastical duties as RA, finally blessed Rae with a hash name of X Rated.
