Run 1430, 13 Apr 2011 Hare: Nickle Bum Riversdale Hotel, cnr Riversdale Rd & Auburn Rd, Auburn
A small but committed pack turned up for the run. A couple of welcome visitors/returnees that we had not seen for a while were Add-On and Flash-On. Having missed out on the run, the meal and most of the circle. I can only pass on what I saw and heard.
The venue was a fine establishment known as the Riversdale Hotel in Hawthorn. Nickelby set a run that had the pack heading east and then south between Tooronga and Burke Roads till they hit the Monash Fwy. From there the run went west for a bit along the freeway and then headed back north up Auburn Road. Apparently there were lots of checks and the pack was split up a bit. The weather was cold and it had been raining heavily up till the run.
The meals were apparently quite good and very reasonable. I know that the beer tasted fine. Charges were made and the innocents were slandered, offended and left out to fester and rot. Obviously the Hares of Nickelby and Lots of Fun would have been charged and their run rated. I think that they got 275 out of 100, or maybe it was 100 out of 275?
