Pizza Anniversary Run

It was alleged that the run was the 10th anniversary of consecutive annual pizza runs from Pointy’s Place. Without records to the contrary, who could deny such an occasion. It was a cold miserable night and notwithstanding the lure of piping hot pizzas, only 13 hashers turned up. Hashers that entered Pointy’s downstairs den were greeted to a picture show of Syrian landscapes, historic ruins, fortresses and battlegrounds taken by Pointy and IGT2 on a recent Syrian sabbatical. IGT2 even had some background Arabian music piping through her iPhone to set the tone of the photo shoot.

The run was a typical Pointy run along a raging Gardiners Creek, around the Eric Raven Reserve, Nettleford Reserve, across the Monash Freeway, a long slog down Malvern Road and on home.  An enjoyable 6km journey.

The Circle Four slices of Pizza each and fruit cake…….everyone was happy. SOAS and the General were absent so Prince and Udder were in charge of the rowdy circle.

Down Downs Lubang – the only walker on trail due to a pulled hammy Prince and Cooch – only hashers that attempted to find trail Udder- aborting the run at a tram stop in Malvern Road IGT2 – providing Arabian music for the slideshow and boasting how Pointy and herself survived the mountains of Syria Lubang Oz – using bottled water in lieu of tap water and no beer for charges Cyclone – unsuitable attired with a string of pearls Lotsafun and Cheesecake – colour coordinated socks
