WALK REPORT:  By Cyclone Tracy                                     Scored 93/200

A lovely warm day for a walk towards a nice cool loop along leafy streets with lots of weaving in and out of little paths and lanes. We didn’t go through any parks and trail was nicely marked with clear arrows. There was a good Drink Stop of Hash splash, orange juice & water with corn chips, chocolate eggs and snakes. Where we had a road crossing it was at the traffic lights, except for one when Peanuts jaywalked across moving traffic. (She probably had not heard the Hare’s warning during his customary pre-Run BOS).  However, the map should have been given to somebody other than Codpiece because she couldn’t read it.  The meal was really nice and the corned beef was to die for.

RUN REPORT: By Astro                                                       Scored originally 0, changed to 200/200

Kokup has to be a sadist, asking me to do the run report. We started around the oval and I thought, trail is going to go right round, so I cut across the oval, but it went out the back lane.  Then it went around tracks and lanes and down to Burke Road, on to Central Park.  There was no way trail would go around, so I went straight across Central Park, but trail did go around it. While the other Runners followed trail, I thought Point Post was calling ON ON, but he was saying “I’m NOT ON”!  (This was vigorously denied by Pointy).  We went down Burke Road and I got to Hedgely Dean, but everyone had disappeared so I thought “I’d better call the police.”  I asked a lady in the Park if she had seen a group of runners, but she had not seen any runners.  Then it got dark and I could not see where I was going.  I was starting to panic and walked through the Park, finding trail along a dark track near the railway line and it was so dark that I was on my hands and knees trying to spot the arrows.  I finally got to Gardiner’s Creek trail through the tunnel and came out on a main road and I thought it was Burke Road again.  I asked a lady and she told me it was High Street. I walked up High Street and got to a train station and someone told me it was Gardenvale, which is where I thought I got off coming to Hash.  By this stage I was starting to panic, so I walked up High Street to Malvern Road where I found the Walkers trail going off to the right.  I crossed the overpass and found the drinkstop, but there was a car just leaving and it was Kokup.  I found the Gardiner’s Creek trail again and followed it back towards the city.  Then I caught the train back to Gardenvale ……!
