Run 1023, 4 February 2004 Hare: Sooty Venue: Maori Chief Hotel, 117 Moray Street, South Melbourne
The run was a great improvement over Sooty’s last run. For a start, there were some trail marks. But there were still not enough and there were too many long straight stretches. Still, quite a lot of the pack managed to follow most of it. The drink stop was a good drop of punch, but had no kick in it.
For the on-after we were stuck on a windy corner outside the Maori Chief. The BBQ was slow and meagre – unlike Sooty’s last run. They said they caterered for 30 and 43 turned up – but still took $8 a head.
There were quite a few returees and visitors. One was the Sperm than spawned a MajorFuckUp. There were some other charges and announcements. RIP.
