Run 1124, 14 Dec 2005 Hare: Gerbils Venue: Frog Hollow Reserve, Camberwell
Frog Hollow Reserve! Such an interesting name for an area with bunch of wonderful kids! In a nice and sunny day, we faced smiling face of Gerbils once we arrived. Run was well set except at the rail crossing where it took us 15 minutes to find the track. The run had enough checks and on backs which kept Sooty with the runners group all the way long to the drink stop. But it was a long way to home after drink stop including few on backs which were not fare. Few enhusiatic local chaps helped Gerbils to prepare the dinner and got their reward with a tasty cold lamb and salad.
Sooty also used his nose properly and followed our asses not to get lost. Carpet Burns ran with us once again and E&B (199), Sooty (97) and Gerbils had significant runs. Tiger Moth and Prince got their awards for 50th and 150th runs before Udder takes over the circle. Udder started the charges with Whippet, Quasimodo and Point Post for their attempt to cross the road through the tunnel. Sooty well deserved the charge for walking the running track all the way and Janus for not selling his car till last minute to supply the run grogs.
Tiger Moth, Shah and GG got the charge for the best dances in the Christmas party on Saturday and Carpet Burns got a Down Down for getting the call right. It appeared that Father Bin Laden didn’t bless GG in the Christmas party. Hence, E&B gave her present to GG.
